The Panel Discussion on November 11, 2023

November 11 – 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
To start off a week of events for National Homeless Children and Youth Awareness Month, this panel discussion had a range of speakers. a homeless liaison from a local school district; two young adults who experienced homelessness; a representative from Family Promise; an outreach coordinator from Penobscot Job Corps; and the Founder and President of But Still I Am One.

The Award Ceremony on November 17, 2023

For the last two years, we have done an award ceremony for the winners of our contest about the issue of homelessness.

We are on a mission to empower young adults aged sixteen to twenty-one experiencing homelessness in Waldo County by providing these services:

PEX Visa Card Project

prepaid cards for essentials.

Driving School Support

up to $600.

Guidance and Referrals

for life skills.

Services We Provide

Our Host Home Project

But Still I Am One's Host Home Project links young adults with host families for temporary housing. Additionally, we provide the hosts with expense reimbursement of up to $300 and offer case management support to both the hosts and the young adults.
