Ways to Volunteer

We are looking for people who believe in our mission.

Be the reason someone feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued, loved, and supported. Do you have experience in fundraising? We could use your help so please send us an email.

Do you like working with young adults ages 16 to 21? We would love to talk to you, so please send us an email.

Would you like to be a member of our Board of Directors and help guide But Still I Am One's future? We would love to talk to you, so please send us an email.

These are just a few areas where we could use volunteers. However, because we believe that everyone has talents and gifts to share, we would love to talk to you if you would like to volunteer. Send us an email.

We are on a mission to empower young adults aged sixteen to twenty-one experiencing homelessness in Waldo County by providing these services:

PEX Visa Card Project

prepaid cards for essentials.

Driving School Support

up to $600.

Guidance and Referrals

for life skills.

Our Host Home Project

But Still I Am One's Host Home Project links young adults with host families for temporary housing. Additionally, we provide the hosts with expense reimbursement of up to $300 and offer case management support to both the hosts and the young adults.
